Cory Bonvillain Temkin, RN, BSN, IBCLC

The picture you see above is one of just a few that I have of my family of four. I wanted to post a beautiful, ideal photo of us out in nature with a golden sunset behind us but the truth is, that photo does not exist. This is my family at Tucson’s Mud Run last year. And this is how life feels most of the time. Messy, fun, and full of new adventures. I am the mom of two boys and partner to my husband. I was blessed to successfully breastfeed my two sons into toddlerhood, and that is where my breastfeeding journey began-15 years ago.

I worked for WIC (Women, Infant, and Children Supplementation Program) for 3.5 years where I gained more breastfeeding knowledge and experience working with new moms on their own personal, breastfeeding journeys. I then went back to school to become a Registered Nurse, worked as a floor nurse in ICU and Labor and Delivery before I finally landed where I belong, a full time Lactation Nurse/IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).

I love getting out in the community more and supporting other families working through their own new adventure with breastfeeding. When I am not working, I am spending time with my family, training to be a yoga therapist, and shooting photography.
